This privacy policy describes how Renew Church Heber Springs, Inc. ("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information for the Godpleasers SMS program.
Our commitment
Phone numbers, message history, and any other personal information collected by the Godpleasers SMS program are never sold, rented, leased, exchanged, or shared with any third party for that party's own use. The program does not use personal information for marketing, advertising, lead generation, or any commercial purpose. Information is used solely to operate the youth performing arts ministry of Renew Church Heber Springs, Inc.
What we collect
- Phone number — collected at program signup with household consent
- Name and program role — collected at program signup (e.g., youth member, parent, chaperone, soloist)
- Group memberships — voice section, assigned vehicle, cabin, etc.
- Message history — inbound and outbound SMS to/from the program number, retained for program-coordination and audit purposes
- Photos and uploaded artifacts — only as voluntarily submitted by members or parents (e.g., photos of paper sign-in sheets)
We do not collect location data, device identifiers, browsing history, or any data not directly related to operating the program.
How we use it
- To send program-related SMS messages (rehearsal reminders, schedule changes, tour logistics, etc.)
- To maintain accurate group membership and contact information
- To coordinate ride assignments, cabin assignments, and other logistics
- To respond to inbound messages and program inquiries
- To audit and review program communications for safety (especially in interactions involving youth members)
Personal information is never used for marketing, sold, rented, or shared with any party outside Renew Church Heber Springs, Inc.
Who has access
Access to phone numbers, message history, and program data is restricted to Renew Church Heber Springs program leadership and authorized administrators, on a need-to-know basis. Members can see only their own data. Parents can see their own data and their enrolled children's program participation.
Infrastructure
The program is operated using standard cloud infrastructure to deliver SMS messages and store program data. Any infrastructure provider processes data solely on Renew Church Heber Springs' behalf under written data-processing agreements, never uses program data for its own purposes, marketing, or any third-party use, and is not permitted to disclose or resell the data. Phone numbers and program data are never sold, rented, leased, or shared with any third party for that party's own use.
Retention
Phone numbers and program data are retained for the duration of program enrollment plus a reasonable historical period (typically up to two years after a member leaves the program) for audit, recovery, and program-history purposes. Members can request earlier deletion using the contact information below.
Opting out and data deletion
Reply STOP to any program message to immediately stop receiving messages. To request deletion of stored personal information, contact info@godpleasers.app with the phone number to be deleted.
Children
The program serves youth members under 18. Enrollment for any youth member requires parent or guardian consent. Parents may review or request changes/deletion of their children's program data at any time using the contact below.
