Who runs the program

Renew Church Heber Springs, Inc. (EIN 92-1057008), a non-profit religious organization in Heber Springs, Arkansas, operates the Godpleasers SMS program for the church's youth performing arts ministry.

SMS enrollment is optional

Enrollment in Godpleasers SMS is not required for participation in the youth performing arts ministry. SMS is one of several communication channels program leaders use — alongside in-person announcements at rehearsal, email, paper handouts, and phone calls. Members and families who do not enroll in SMS can fully participate in rehearsals, performances, tours, and every other aspect of the ministry. Consent to receive SMS is freely given by the user, is never a condition of ministry participation, and is never bundled with any purchase, fee, donation, or service.

Who receives messages

Messages are sent only to people enrolled in the youth performing arts ministry program:

No marketing or promotional messages are sent. The program does not buy phone number lists, scrape phone numbers, or send messages to anyone outside the enrolled program membership.

Members receive only messages relevant to the groups they belong to within the program (their voice section, their assigned vehicle, etc.) — not every program message.

Cost

Godpleasers does not charge members for SMS messages. Standard message and data rates may apply from the recipient's mobile carrier. The program is operated as a free service to enrolled members and parents.

Opt-in workflow

Godpleasers has exactly one opt-in method: the public web form at godpleasers.app/register.

A prospective member or parent visits the form (publicly accessible, no login required, no fee), enters their name, mobile number, and role in the program, then must affirmatively check a single-purpose, NOT-pre-checked, required SMS consent box. The form cannot be submitted with the box unchecked; submission constitutes express written consent. A program leader at Renew Church Heber Springs then verifies the enrollment before any SMS is sent. The same welcome message is sent to every newly verified member.

No other opt-in method is used. The program does not collect SMS opt-ins via keyword text-in, paper form, verbal request, QR-code-only sign-ups (the QR code, where used, links to the same public web form), imported phone lists, purchased lists, or any third-party lead source. START is honored as opt-back-in for previously-enrolled users who replied STOP, per CTIA convention — this is not an initial opt-in pathway.

Opt-out workflow

Reply STOP to any program message. The system removes the number from all groups immediately, sends a one-time confirmation, and ceases all further messaging to that number.

Alternatively, contact info@godpleasers.app to request removal. Program leadership confirms removal within one business day.

Help workflow

Reply HELP to any program message to receive a help message containing brand identification (Godpleasers — Renew Church Heber Springs youth performing arts ministry) and the support contact (info@godpleasers.app).
